Magical images inspired by pieces of music by a French composer are cerated from paper.
Children's games, riddles and hidden mysteries combine together with modified piano sounds to make an enchanting show.
The independent theatre group Atofri was created in 2008 within the framework of the Poznan Artistic Fund. Its repertoire is addressed to the youngest spectators aged 1 to 5. The group infects the children with the magic of theatre by means of sound, colour, form, movement, gesture. It describes the surrounding world in a simple, yet poetic manner. The actresses are the members of ASSITEJ – International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People.
Looking for the most appropriate way of communicating with the youngest we assumed that music, movement and art will let us get to children in a gentle and unimposing way, free from schemes. Live music played on various instruments is the basic source of our inspiration.
Taking care of children’s imagination, we allow ourselves to a lot of abstraction. We play with props despite their literal meaning. A kite transforms into a cockscomb, and a ship into a hat. Words do not build a story, but they complement the scenes. The meeting with the theatre is a full experience trip with music, which is often being sung. These are stories being told with movement. It is stopping sight on form and colour. And all that thanks to the joy. And for your and our joy.
