Hidehiko, Masao and Katsutoshi luckily survive the bombing and introduced by Hanae, who was also lucky to survive, to work as “human telegrams” for the Chugoku Newspaper. By word of mouth they pass news around the town, because the newspaper company has also lost everything by the bomb. They soon become aware of the selfish logic of adults and the inconsistencies of the world. And the war defeat… The war is then lost and Hiroshima is hit by an enormous typhoon.
